I’m Bear, a crazy little cuddler that tugs at your heart strings. I got a second chance at life once my mom, Nicole, adopted me from the Capital Area Humane Society. Originally my name was Banana, but that didn’t fit my personality so the name Bear was rightfully given to me. It’s not a common name and still gives off that tough pitbull demeanor. I ease my way into your heart with love and affection, but the quickest way to my heart is with booty scratches. I love this so much that I’ll sit on you until I get just that.
While I’m loving, I do have spastic moments that display my excitement. Just the other day a big airy ballon entered my house. I didn’t know how I felt about this random object, so naturally I freaked out. My friend Zoe and I had quite the experience with this ballon. Zoe is my new baby friend and roommate. She’s also a 12-week-old labrador. We instantly bonded, but she’s not the only dog in my life. I have a boyfriend at the dog park. Sometimes I need to spice up my life and a boyfriend does that for me. My favorite friend is still my mom. We have had multiple trips to the ER together, take daily strolls, and love each other unconditionally. They say dogs are man’s best friend, but humans are dogs best friends too. Overall, I’m a spunky little dog that is always the life of the party.
I am a spunky, but loving hypoallergenic dog named Josie. I am technically a cockapoo, which is a cocker spaniel poodle mix. I’d like to think I am more than just a dog though. I was named after Josie and the Pussycats, which is great because Josie was the leader of pussycats. That automatically means I am the leader of pussycats. There’s only one cat living with me though, but a leader of one is better than a leader of none. Grace is the exotic tabby cat that lives with me. We bond over window watching sessions. We like to watch animals that are roaming about outside. Whenever I spot a squirrel or bunny outside, I can’t control my excitement. My vocals get out of control and I start jumping super high, like I’m trying to reach the sky.
That’s not the only thing that makes me giddy. I love meeting new people. New people are better than new toys because they don’t just play with you, they also pet you and compliment you. If I like you enough, I’ll sit perfectly on your lap and let you pet me for copious amounts of time. I also have great parents. They take me on walks. Don’t get me started on the excitement level when that happens. Fetch is another favorite past time. I will not stop playing fetch until I’m forced not to or until you put my ball away. As you can see, I have a lot of personality.
I go by the name of Jäger, sometimes my family calls me Jägey or baby dog when they’re feeling adventurous. I didn’t have a loving family my first year of life, which was spent in Bad Axe Michigan. I was sent to jail, aka the dog pound, shortly after my first birthday. With two days to live and little hope left, an organization called Fetch Dog Rescue came in and saved me. I was basically on death row with skin and bones for a frame. I’ve come along way since then though. I’ve joined a dog crew, also known as the black pack, which is lead by an orange cat named Zack. I also have a loving human pack that spoils me. My biggest quirk is obsessively licking. I like tasting and getting familiar with things, licking just happens to be the best way to do it. It was a habit I thought I would grow out of, but I haven’t. I also love napping, especially with one of my humans. There’s no better nap than one with a human to snuggle with. I also like to randomly sit all around my house in perfect form. This gives me a chance to observe and think about life. My biggest strength is my happy state of mind. My infectious personality always cheers my family up, especially if they’re having a bad day. My goal is to love all my family members as much as possible, which means constant licking of course.
